Description
CYT’s Level 1 Acting Foundations introduces young performers to the core elements of stagecraft in a supportive, high-energy environment. Designed for beginner to intermediate students with little to no formal training, this foundational course focuses on building essential acting skills through interactive theatre games, vocal projection, body movement, and character development. Students explore basic scene study and improvisation to cultivate confidence, active listening, and spatial awareness on stage. Guided by CYT’s commitment to character, culture, and craft, the class emphasizes teamwork and self-expression, providing a strong artistic foundation that prepares young actors for future mainstage auditions and advanced coursework.
